Four steps to an accurate quote
Volume is what decides the price of an overseas move. Getting it right at the start is what keeps the quote from changing later.

Walk slowly round every room, panning across furniture and opening cupboards and wardrobes as you go. Narrate anything that isn't obvious.

The AI lists every item it recognises with its volume and the cartons needed. Review it, and add or remove anything before you send it.

Filming tips for an accurate inventory
The AI can only count what it can see. Ten seconds more in each room makes a real difference to the figure.
Light and pace
Film in daylight with the lights on, and move slowly. Hold the phone upright and pause for a second on each piece of furniture.
Open everything
Cupboards, wardrobes, drawers under beds and kitchen units — contents are where most volume hides.
Don't skip the extras
Loft, garage, shed, garden, under the stairs and anything already in storage. Say so if something is stored elsewhere.
Say what's staying
If an item is being sold, left behind or given away, say it out loud or remove it from the list before you submit.
Flag the special items
Pianos, artwork, antiques, gym equipment and anything very heavy or valuable — mention them so we plan the right packing.
Access matters too
A quick shot of the stairs, the front door and where a lorry would park helps us price the job properly.
Video survey questions
Is the AI survey enough for a fixed quote?
For most moves, yes. Your consultant reviews every survey personally and will call if anything needs checking. For very large properties, or where there are antiques, pianos or difficult access, we may suggest a short video call or a home visit as well.
Who sees my video?
Only Halo. The footage is used to build your inventory and price your move, and nothing else. See our privacy policy for how we handle your information.
Can I stop and come back to it?
You can film room by room at your own pace. If you run out of time, call or WhatsApp us and we'll help you finish it.
